She’s earned air miles for sure. For the last two years, Mulye has visited at least a dozen countries in Asia and Europe to raise funds for ICICI Venture. Notable investments include a $16 million stake in construction firm Vijay Nirman, and a $23 million infusion in Adlabs Imagica, touted as India’s largest theme park. Despite volatile market conditions, the company made several exits, adding up to over $150 million. Mulye also established a strategic partnership with Apollo Global to explore opportunities in the special situations space, and is looking to raise $1.4 billion to invest in the infrastructure sector. Her long-term aim is to make ICICI Venture “a gateway for Indian opportunities across asset classes”.
