Shares of online gaming company Delta Corp were in focus on Thursday, a day after the company reported 1.6% growth in its consolidated net profit at ₹69.4 crore for the July to September quarter of FY24 as against ₹68.3 crore in the same period last year. On Thursday, the share price of the company surged as much as 4.16% to hit an intraday high of ₹148.95 apiece on the BSE.
During the session on Thursday, the share price of the casino operator opened at ₹143, up 0.69%, as against the closing price of the previous session at ₹144. At the time of reporting, shares of the company were trading 0.38% at ₹143.55. At present, the share price of the company is trading 44.7% lower than the 52-week high of ₹259.95, hit on June 28 this year. The share price of the company is trading 7.77% higher than the 52-week low of ₹133.10, touched on September 29 this year. During the session, the company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹3,845.19 crore, with more than 7.76 lakh shares exchanging hands on the BSE as against the two-week average of 8.40 lakh shares.
During the period under review, the company’s income from gaming operations stood at ₹283.07 crore, up 3.4%, as against ₹273.66 crore in the same period last year. The company’s revenue in the September quarter stood at ₹270.59 crore, up 0.2%, as against ₹269.97 crore in the same period last year. The company’s total expenses stood at ₹190.20, up 2.12%, as against ₹186.83 crore in the same period last year.
On a sequential basis, the company’s profit was up 2.1% as against ₹67.91 crore in the same period last year.
Delta Corp also appointed Anil Malani as the president and chief financial officer of the company. The appointment has come into effect beginning October 11, 2023.
