In a bustling room of nano-micro-macro influencers adorning kurtas and salwar suits, Vivo unveiled its latest V60 series on Tuesday, the company’s first phone with a wedding portrait studio, ahead of the wedding and festive season.

This another camera-focused V60 5G smartphone is positioned to compete with the likes of the Oppo Reno 14, OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus 13R in the sub-₹50,000 segment. The device features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, IP68/IP69 water- and dust-resistance, and a triple-camera setup co-engineered with ZEISS.

The Vivo V60 5G is priced at ₹36,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant, ₹38,999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB variant, ₹40,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB model, and ₹45,999 for the top-end 12GB RAM/512GB option. Pre-bookings start from Tuesday, and the phone will be available from August 19 via Vivo’s website, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline outlets. Colour options include Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold.

The V60 sports a 6.77-inch 120Hz quad-curved AMOLED display with 5,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Vivo claims a 10% reduction in power consumption and low blue light technology for eye comfort. The bezels measure just 0.186 cm, and the back uses premium frosted matte glass with a camera panel that takes up only 9% of the back space.

This is again the company’s slimmest phone in the 6,500mAh battery, like V50 in 6,00mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging. Running on Funtouch OS 15 based on Google’s Android 15, Vivo will extend four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

In terms of imaging, the triple rear camera system features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto portrait lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The ZEISS multifocal portrait system, including a 110mm telephoto setup, is designed to deliver excellent contrast and minimal aberration, eliminating the need for professional post-production, lighting, or external imaging equipment. That might not be the case forever. The front camera is a 50MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Upcoming months are going to see budget launches including some from the Y series from vivo while, the next V series launch is expected in February and March next year, with a supposed battery capacity upgrade.
