The price revision will apply across the automaker’s India portfolio, with the quantum varying by model and variant amid rising input and operational costs

Škoda Auto India will increase prices across its entire passenger vehicle portfolio by up to 1.2% from October 1, citing rising input and operational costs. The revision will be implemented at the ex-showroom level, with the actual increase varying across models and variants and the maximum hike capped at ₹20,000.
The price increase comes as the Czech automaker has expanded its India portfolio through a series of product and variant additions in 2026. The company had initially outlined 10 product actions for the year, including the new Kushaq and Slavia, updates to the Kodiaq, and the introduction of the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS.
Škoda has also added new trims and features to the Kylaq, including the Sportline variant, besides introducing Classic+ and Prestige+ trims across its portfolio.
Škoda’s move follows a series of price revisions by major carmakers this year. Most recently, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles increased prices across its ICE and electric vehicle portfolio by up to ₹25,000 from September 1. The company attributed the move to sustained inflationary pressures and rising input costs, with the hike coming after an earlier price increase of up to 1.5% from July 1.
The price revision follows a strong sales performance for the automaker in India. Škoda said it recorded its highest-ever annual sales in 2025, selling 72,655 cars. It also registered its strongest-ever first-half sales in 2026 and had crossed 50,000 units by August, representing growth of more than 8% over the corresponding period last year.
The company said more than 250,000 locally manufactured Škoda vehicles have been sold during its growth phase, comprising the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia. The Kylaq alone accounts for more than 75,000 units, highlighting the contribution of the compact SUV to the brand’s recent sales momentum.
Škoda’s India network has also expanded to more than 345 customer touchpoints across 193 cities. The company said network expansion has been another contributor to its growth in the Indian market.
The Czech carmaker currently sells five models in India—Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, Kodiaq and Octavia RS. The company has positioned the expanded product line-up as a key part of its growth strategy in the Indian market during 2026.
