JSW MG Motor India, Honda Cars India extend entire GST benefit on their ICE portfolio

The two carmakers join a slew of mass-market carmakers, most of which made a beeline to announce a reduction in prices before the revised GST reforms came into effect.

JSW MG Motor India and Honda Cars India said on Monday that they would extend the entire benefit of the GST reforms—which went into effect on Monday—to their ICE portfolios. MG Motor India also said that it would extend the benefit to its spare parts and accessories as well.

By passing on the full benefit of this reform to our customers, JSW MG Motor aims to make its SUV portfolio—comprising Astor, Hector, and Gloster—even more accessible and attractive,” said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, in a statement.

Astor, the entry-level SUV of the MG Motor portfolio, will see a discount of ₹34,000 on its ex-showroom price. In contrast, the MG Hector, the mid-level SUV, will see a reduction of ₹49,000 in its ex-showroom price, and the MG Gloster, the flagship ICE SUV of the MG portfolio, will see a reduction of ₹2.83 lakh in its ex-showroom price.

In addition, MG Gloster customers can avail of additional benefits of up to ₹3,50,000. JSW MG Motor is also offering attractive financing options, including 100% on-road funding and a three-month EMI holiday, providing customers with enhanced convenience and financial flexibility.

In addition to the GST benefits, the models have been strategically priced to make them more attractive for a limited period till December, offering unmatched value to our customers during this festive season,” said Kunal Behl, vice president, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India, in a statement.

The revised pricing sees the entire range of the Honda Amaze now available under ₹10 lakh, with ex-showroom prices starting from ₹6,97,700 to ₹9,99,900. The Honda Elevate range now starts from ₹10,99,900 (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant. The reduction in prices ranges from ₹42,800 to ₹91,100 for different variants of the Elevate.

The benefits of the GST reforms have also been extended to the Honda City. With price reductions ranging from ₹41,790 to ₹57,500, the Honda City now starts from ₹11,95,300 (ex-showroom).
