The Kia Lease programme is designed for customers with extended mobility requirements, offering flexible tenures ranging from 36 to 60 months, along with multiple mileage options.
Kia India today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Avis Leasing, an auto leasing firm, as part of its Kia Lease Programme. With this partnership, Kia India has now tied up with three leasing partners.
The partnership also aims to offer flexible, customer-centric mobility solutions while expanding brand accessibility across diverse customer groups. The Kia Lease programme is designed for customers with extended mobility requirements, offering flexible tenures ranging from 36 to 60 months, along with multiple mileage options.
Customers can choose to lease Kia vehicles without any initial downpayment. The leasing proposition includes maintenance, insurance renewal, and resale-related coverage, thereby delivering a hassle-free ownership experience. At the end of the lease tenure, customers also have the flexibility to return the vehicle or upgrade to a new Kia model, based on their mobility needs.
On the occasion, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “At Kia India, we recognise the Leasing and Subscription space emerging as an important growth driver in the Indian Auto industry. Our partnership with Avis Leasing reflects our efforts towards strengthening Kia Lease as a scalable platform that addresses evolving customer needs while creating incremental demand beyond traditional ownership. Through such collaborations, we aim to build a strong, sustainable mobility business aligned with our long-term growth strategy in India.”
Kia India launched the Kia Lease Programme in 2024, intending to provide best-in-class leasing and subscription services to the Indian customers aligned with their evolving ownership preferences and long-term mobility needs. Kia India has already signed MoUs with Orix India and Ayvens India (a joint venture between ALD Automotive and LeasePlan).
In April 2017, Kia India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government of Andhra Pradesh, India, to build a new manufacturing facility at Anantapur District. Kia commenced mass production in August 2019 and has an installed annual production capacity of 300,000 units.
To date, Kia India has launched nine vehicles for the Indian market—the Seltos, the Syros, the Sonet, the Carens, the Carnival, the EV6, the EV9, the Carens Clavis, and the all-new Carens Clavis EV. Kia India has completed almost 1.5 million vehicle dispatches from its Anantapur plant, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and over 3.67 lakh exports. With more than 5 lakh connected cars on Indian roads, Kia has a widespread network of 821 touchpoints across 369 cities.
