Toyota’s new electric SUV comes with a 61-kWh battery pack, Level 2 ADAS, and an 8-year battery warranty as the company sharpens its EV push in India.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday announced the price of its all-electric Urban Cruiser Ebella E3 at ₹23.6 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the company’s latest move to strengthen its presence in India’s growing electric passenger vehicle market.
The Urban Cruiser Ebella E3 comes with a 61-kWh battery pack, delivering 128 kW power, and 193 Nm torque. The company said the electric SUV has been developed as part of Toyota’s “multi-pathway approach towards a sustainable and a carbon neutral future”.
“Designed to deliver a seamless blend of a bold SUV styling, interior spaciousness with premium cabin experience, advanced technology and smooth, confident performance, the All-Electric Urban Cruiser Ebella is strongly backed by Toyota’s three decades of global expertise in electrified mobility,” the company said in a statement.
The launch comes at a time when automakers are expanding their EV portfolios amid rising consumer interest, government incentives and increasing investments in charging infrastructure across the country.
Toyota said the Urban Cruiser Ebella features an “Urban Tech” design theme with a strong SUV stance, aerodynamic styling, premium LED lighting, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin includes dual-tone interiors, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, sliding and reclining rear seats, panoramic roof and a JBL premium sound system.
The vehicle is equipped with a unified digital cockpit integrating a 10.25-inch combimeter, a 10.1-inch multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity.
On the safety front, the electric SUV comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), seven airbags, a high-tensile body structure and a 360-degree camera.
Toyota is also offering an 8-year battery warranty, assured buyback programme and Battery-as-a-Service options to support EV adoption. The company said the vehicle supports both AC and DC fast charging and includes remote charging operation, scheduling and battery monitoring through its i-Connect platform.
“Assured Service is the core of our commitment,” the company said, adding that over 500 BEV-enabled service touchpoints across India have been equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and infrastructure. It also said more than 2,500 BEV master technicians have been trained to provide support and express maintenance services.
The Urban Cruiser Ebella will be available in five monotone and four dual-tone colour options.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor, in which Toyota Motor Corporation holds an 89% stake and Kirloskar Systems Limited owns the remaining 11%, currently operates two manufacturing plants in Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined installed production capacity of up to 3.42 lakh units annually.
