Boeing awards ₹10 lakh each to seven startup teams under BUILD 2026

Boeing India has announced seven winning teams of the fifth edition of its University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) programme, which supports university students and early-stage startups working on technology-led solutions. Each winning team will receive a grant of ₹10 lakh, along with continued support from Boeing and its incubator partners to help turn their ideas into market-ready businesses. 

The winners are Aerosearch Technologies, Alkamy Carbon, DIASOL Pvt. Ltd., EarthSprint Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Oreejoy MedTech Pvt. Ltd., StelX Dynamics and SWRN Systems Pvt. Ltd. 

“India’s startup ecosystem has grown into a vibrant and diverse network of entrepreneurs, incubators, investors and academia. BUILD has helped bring these groups together, creating pathways for promising ideas to move beyond competition and toward real-world opportunities,” said Salil Gupte, president, Boeing India and South Asia. 

Over the past five years, the BUILD programme has received more than 7,000 applications and supported over 35 startups across aerospace and defence, technology, sustainability and social impact. Boeing said the programme has also expanded its engagement with India’s innovation ecosystem by bringing investors and venture capitalists into discussions with participating startups. Finalists also work with Boeing engineers and technologists to refine their ideas into viable business solutions.

The BUILD programme is organised in partnership with seven incubators, including IIT Bombay’s SINE, IIT Delhi’s FITT, IIT Gandhinagar’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, IIT Madras Incubation Cell, IISc Bengaluru’s FSID, T-Hub Hyderabad and KIIT Bhubaneswar’s Technology Business Incubator. Applicants can submit ideas in aerospace and defence, technology, social impact and sustainability. 

Over the years, Boeing India has supported skill development, innovation, and capability building in the country through programs such as BUILD, the HorizonX India Innovation Challenge, the Accelerated Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Apprenticeship, as well as the National Aeromodelling Competition with the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
