Brigade Hotel to add 940 keys with six new properties across four key Indian markets
Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL), the second-largest owner of chain-affiliated hotels and rooms in South India, has signed a multi-deal agreement with Marriott International Inc. to develop six hotels across four key markets in the country.
The portfolio expansion will feature properties under five globally recognized Marriott Bonvoy brands, i.e., The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott.
As of March 31, 2025, BHVL owns at least 500 rooms pan-India, while the deal with Marriott will add 940 keys across five brands in four key markets in India.
“With this signing, Brigade reinforces its nearly 15-year partnership with Marriott, further strengthening a successful relationship. Along with Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Infopark, this brings the total to eight hotels with Marriott, totaling 1,388 keys,” the release noted.

As per the release, Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center is anticipated to open in FY27 with 45 guestrooms, two dining outlets, a modern fitness centre, and classic Courtyard styling. Located close to major office complexes and 13 km from Chennai International Airport, the hotel will be part of a mixed-use development including the World Trade Center, a residential complex, and retail outlets.
Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport is likely to open in FY28. The 224-room hotel will feature suites, conferencing facilities, two dining venues, a swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa, located close to the airport and business hubs.
The release notes that Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Brigade Valencia is slated to open by FY28 in South Bengaluru’s IT corridor. The 151-key hotel will offer multifunctional public spaces, a three-meal restaurant, a bar, a pool, a fitness centre, and a spa.
While The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, Kerala, a 70-key all-villa retreat, is expected to be operational by FY29, JW Marriott Chennai OMR will open in Chennai’s IT corridor by FY30 with 250 rooms and suites.
