IDFC FIRST Bank Limited, acting through its IFSC Banking Unit at GIFT City, has successfully priced and allocated its inaugural $500 million three-year fixed-rate senior notes due 2029, marking the Bank’s entry into the international debt capital markets.

The notes carry a fixed coupon of 5.625% and were placed with investors outside the US in accordance with Regulation S. 

The transaction marks IDFC FIRST Bank’s first international bond issuance and comes shortly after S&P Global Ratings assigned the Bank an investment-grade long-term issuer credit rating of ‘BBB-’ with a Stable outlook on August 13, 2026.

The offering attracted participation from marquee global institutional investors, including BlackRock, Capital Group and AllianceBernstein. The strong investor participation underscores confidence in the Bank’s financial strength, expanding franchise, prudent risk management and long-term growth prospects.

The successful bond issuance is expected to diversify the Bank’s funding base and establish a new avenue for accessing international capital markets.
