The names of the parties involved in the transaction were not immediately available, but reports suggested that Alphawave was looking to sell a 1.2% stake in Lenskart.

Lenskart Solutions shares witnessed strong volume in early trade on Friday as 2.9 crore shares, representing a 1.67% stake worth ₹1,856.7 crore, changed hands in a block deal. This is the second large transaction in the eyewear retailer’s stock in less than a week.
The names of the parties involved in the transaction were not immediately available, but reports suggested that Alphawave was looking to sell a 1.2% stake in Lenskart. The floor price for the transaction was ₹630 per share, valuing the deal at about ₹1,313 crore.
At the end of the June quarter, promoter entities owned 17.53% of Lenskart, while public shareholders accounted for about 82% of the company’s equity. Within the public shareholding, Alpha Wave Ventures LP held a 3.42% stake, while Alpha Wave Ventures II LP owned a 1.22% stake, according to stock exchange data.
Second large block deal in a week
Friday’s transaction marks the second sizeable block deal in Lenskart within a week. Earlier this week, on August 24, SVF II Lightbulb (Cayman) sold 5.4 crore Lenskart shares valued at ₹2,887.9 crore through a block deal.
Societe Generale ODI emerged as a buyer in that transaction, purchasing 1.07 crore shares worth ₹688.92 crore at an average price of ₹641.75 per share. SVF II Lightbulb (Cayman) held a 9.86% stake in Lenskart at the end of the June quarter.
At the time of reporting, Lenskart shares were trading at ₹642.90 on the BSE, up 0.52% from the previous close of ₹639.60. During the session, the stock hit a high of ₹647.95, while its market capitalisation stood at around ₹1.12 lakh crore.
The stock touched its 52-week high of ₹673.35 on August 24, rebounding nearly 90% from its 52-week low of ₹355.70 hit on November 10, 2025. At Friday’s trading price, Lenskart had a market capitalisation of around ₹1.12 lakh crore.
Lenskart reported a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Profit attributable to owners of the holding company increased to ₹221.84 crore from ₹60.08 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations climbed 43.3% year-on-year to ₹2,714.18 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹1,894.46 crore a year earlier. On a sequential basis, profit increased 10.7%, while revenue grew 7.9%.
The India business remained a key contributor, with revenue rising 30.7% to ₹1,531 crore. International revenue increased 38% to ₹1,203 crore.
Lenskart also continued to expand its retail footprint during the quarter, adding 132 net new stores. This took its total active store network to 3,459 at the end of June.
