Madhya Pradesh inks ₹3.71 lakh cr investment deals at Global Summit 2025, Adani and NHAI lead the charge

The Madhya Pradesh (MP) government today signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth ₹3.71 lakh crore during the ongoing Invest MP – Global Investment Summit 2025 in Bhopal. Out of the total amount, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) alone signed an MoU for investments worth ₹1 lakh crore in the state.

A total of 19 MoUs have been signed, nine of which are with corporate and PSU sectors as well as government agencies for investments in sectors like energy—predominantly renewable—while the rest are knowledge-sharing pacts with foreign chambers of business and other related organisations.

Earlier in the day, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani committed to investments worth ₹1.10 lakh crore in the state, which is expected to generate 1.2 lakh jobs by 2030.

NTPC-NGEL and MPPGCL have inked a pact for an investment of ₹1.2 lakh crore to set up 2 GW of renewable power generation in MP. NTPC has also signed an MoU for investments worth ₹80,000 crore to set up two greenfield power plants in the state. Reliance Industries Ltd has signed a ₹60,000 crore MoU for the implementation of biofuel-based projects.

Avaada plans to set up solar, wind, hybrid, pump hydro storage, and battery storage projects, along with a solar photovoltaic module manufacturing facility, under a ₹50,000 crore understanding with the state. Torrent Power Ltd has also inked a pact for investments worth ₹26,500 crore.

Power finance PSUs, including the Rural Electrification Corporation and Power Finance Corporation, have signed MoUs to provide loans worth ₹47,800 crore for capital works.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has lined up a mega investment of approximately ₹1 lakh crore for the future development of national highways and expressways in Madhya Pradesh, spanning about 4,010 km.

Earlier in the day, addressing the delegates at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that MP will grow as a logistics hub in the future, as the industrial parks in the state are connected to the ports in Mumbai and markets in northern India through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway corridor.
