MS Dhoni launches combined Maharashtra diagnostics operations of Neuberg and NM Medical
The unified platform will bring together pathology, radiology, genomics and preventive wellness services across Maharashtra
Serial entrepreneur G.S.K. Velu-promoted Neuberg Diagnostics is consolidating its Maharashtra operations with Dr Nilesh Shah-led Mumbai-based NM Medical to create an integrated diagnostics network combining advanced pathology, radiology, genomics and preventive healthcare. Former India cricket captain MS Dhoni unveiled the platform in Mumbai on October 3, along with Atlas, Neuberg’s new longevity and wellness initiative.
The unified platform brings together Neuberg NM Medical, Neuberg Dr Ajay Shah, Neuberg Sehgal, Neuberg OncoPath, led by Dr Jay Mehta, and Neuberg Star. The network will provide routine and specialised pathology, advanced imaging, molecular diagnostics, genomics and preventive wellness services through diagnostic centres, laboratories, wellness centres and collection centres across Maharashtra.

Dr Nilesh Shah, chairman of NM Medical, will head the joint Maharashtra entity as chairman. Dr Ajay Shah will be chief mentor—pathology, Dr Asish Atre chief of radiology, and Dr Kunal Sehgal and Dr Jay Mehta will head pathology. Rahil Shah will serve as CEO—Maharashtra, Preventive Wellness & Africa Operations, Neuberg Group.
Focus on integrated diagnostics and preventive care
The companies said the integrated platform will enable clinicians to combine imaging, pathology, molecular and genomic data for earlier detection, more precise diagnosis, personalised treatment and disease monitoring.
Chennai-headquartered Neuberg operates across India, the UAE, South Africa and the US and has more than 250 laboratories in India. It processes over 30 million tests annually and offers more than 6,000 types of pathological investigations.
NM Medical has diagnostic centres across Mumbai, including Marine Lines, Charni Road, Parel, Bandra, Khar, Andheri, Malad, Borivali, Chembur, Mulund, Powai and Vashi. It offers pathology, radiology, cardiology, molecular genomics, genetic testing and preventive health services.
