AI would drive a tenfold improvement in productivity across Reliance’s workforce of over six lakh employees, while also delivering a 10x impact on India’s economy and society, RIL chairman said.

In a message addressed to employees, Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani unveiled a draft Reliance AI Manifesto, outlining an ambitious plan to transform the conglomerate into an AI-native deep-tech enterprise. Ambani said artificial intelligence would drive a ten-fold improvement in productivity across Reliance’s workforce of over six lakh employees, while also delivering a 10x impact on India’s economy and society.
Calling artificial intelligence “the most consequential technological development in human history,” Ambani told Reliance employees that the group aims to lead India’s AI revolution, just as it once spearheaded the country’s digital transformation.
From oil to yarn and retail to telecom, the conglomerate now wants to embed AI across its businesses with a singular resolve: to deliver “Affordable AI for every Indian”, while ensuring safety, trust, and accountability.
“At Reliance, we have embarked on a path to transform ourselves into an AI-Native Deep-Tech Company with Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities. We are proud that we led the Digital Revolution in India. It has laid the foundation for the next revolution, the AI Revolution, which too we must lead. Our motto is clear: “Affordable AI for every Indian, to transform every aspect of the economy and life in India.” This is the SANKALP (resolve) of Reliance,” Ambani said in the message.
“To pursue this resolve, we have prepared a draft of the Reliance AI Manifesto. This draft is a guide to an action plan, which we will prepare collectively by suitably incorporating your brilliant ideas and practical suggestions,” he said.
The manifesto is divided into two sections. The first focuses on Reliance’s internal overhaul, framing AI as a fundamental shift in how the organisation works rather than a standalone technology initiative. The second expands the scope to outline the company’s vision for AI-led transformation across India.
RIL chairman invited employees to submit ideas on deploying AI across Reliance’s vast ecosystem, saying the manifesto would evolve into a shared commitment to “build a New Reliance and a New India.”
Ambani also highlighted opportunities in indigenous AI hardware, robotics, and cross-domain applications to boost efficiency, sustainability, and technological self-reliance, stressing that AI adoption must remain aligned with Reliance’s “We Care” philosophy.
