AI-based online travel platform ixigo on Wednesday announced the launch of its airport cabs service, marking its foray into the airport ground transportation segment across major airports in the country.
In an official announcement, the company said the new offering is designed to provide reliable and cost-effective airport transfers, with an emphasis on on-time pick-ups and zero last-minute cancellations. The move strengthens ixigo’s presence in the travel value chain, extending beyond flights and trains into first and last-mile connectivity.
Speaking on the launch, Rajnish Kumar, Group Co-CEO, ixigo, said, “Reliable airport transfers are a natural extension to our flights business, since our users value convenience and predictability. With ixigo Airport Cabs, we have handpicked cab partners across 100+ cities in India to bring added convenience to the first and last mile of trips.”
According to the release, travellers can book the service through the ixigo app or website by selecting the “Airport Cabs” option, entering trip details, choosing a cab category, applying available coupons, and completing the payment.

The service allows bookings up to 90 days in advance and is available across all major airports across India. Users can choose from multiple vehicle categories including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and MPVs, luxury cars, as well as electric, and CNG options.
According to the company, fares are inclusive of airport entry charges, tolls, state taxes and driver allowance. Pricing will be dynamic and depend on the city, date and time of travel. Customers can cancel bookings free of charge up to 30 minutes before the scheduled pick-up, and fares include 30 minutes of complimentary waiting time. A 24x7 SOS support feature has also been introduced to assist users during breakdowns, accidents or emergencies.
