As part of its growth road map under Strategy 2030+, Palfinger will invest ₹350 crore in the first phase to set up a manufacturing facility in Pune by calendar year 2027.

Under the partnership, TVS Mobility Group will enable supply chain readiness, market access and lifecycle support for Palfinger’s India expansion through its integrated ecosystem.

Palfinger’s Strategy 2030+ is anchored on three strategic pillars — lifting customer value, balanced profitable growth, and execution excellence. As the company scales its India presence to serve both domestic and global markets, TVS Mobility Group will support operational readiness, faster go-to-market execution and scalable lifecycle services.

The collaboration will leverage the combined strengths — under separate contractual arrangements — of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, TVS Automobile Solutions and TVS Smart Mobility to deliver end-to-end logistics, dealership, aftermarket and mobility solutions.

Supply chain and logistics support

TVS Supply Chain Solutions, the logistics arm of the group, will anchor Palfinger’s supply chain operations in India. The company will manage inbound logistics from Austria, free trade warehousing zone operations and integrated warehousing to ensure efficient material flow, operational continuity and scalable distribution capabilities as PALFINGER strengthens its manufacturing footprint.

Dealership and mobility solutions

TVS Smart Mobility will support Palfinger’s go-to-market strategy through its dealership network of over 150 touchpoints across India. Leveraging its nationwide footprint, the company will offer structured vehicle-on-demand and mobility solutions aimed at expanding market reach, enabling flexible deployment and improving customer access.

As part of the MoU, the two companies will also explore opportunities in the defence sector, combining Palfinger’s specialised equipment technologies with TVS Mobility Group’s operational capabilities and the domain expertise of TVS SCS.
