William Grant & Sons, the family-owned global spirits company, has entered Andhra Pradesh as part of its strategy to expand its distribution network and strengthen its presence in India.
The company is introducing a portfolio of brands in the state, including Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old and 15-Year-Old single malts, Monkey Shoulder, Hendrick’s Gin, and Grant’s whisky. The initial rollout will focus on select retail outlets and on-trade channels, including hotels, restaurants and other hospitality establishments, in key urban and commercial centres. The company plans to expand its reach across the state in phases.

“Andhra Pradesh is an important addition to our India footprint and represents the next step in the continued development of our business in the country. As we expand, our focus is not simply on entering new markets, but on building them thoughtfully, with the right portfolio, strong trade partnerships and sustained investment behind our brands,” said Kartik Mohindra, managing director, William Grant & Sons India.
The company sees long-term growth opportunities in the state and plans to build availability and establish an appropriate channel mix to reach consumers.
William Grant & Sons will work with distributors, retailers, hotels, restaurants, and hospitality partners to establish its brands in the market. “Andhra Pradesh gives us the opportunity to build our portfolio with clear roles across channels and consumer occasions. Our priority is to ensure that each brand enters the market in the right environment, with the right distribution, visibility and trade advocacy behind it," said Rohit Kumar, sales head, William Grant & Sons India.
The company will initially focus on selected markets and channels, assess consumer and trade response, and gradually expand its presence.
The move is part of William Grant & Sons’ broader India strategy to strengthen its position across premium spirits categories and build distinct roles for its brands across markets and consumption occasions.
