Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the entire world is optimistic about India for the first time in the history of the country. Speaking at Invest Madhya Pradesh, Global Investment Summit, 2025, PM Modi said nations, institutions and economic experts from across the world have huge expectations form India.
At the summit, PM Modi will also inaugurate eighteen new investment policies of MP government. During his address, he also said that with mega infrastructures like Delhi – Mumbai expressway passing through MP, the state will soon become a logistics hub.
“For the first time in India's history, the entire world is so optimistic about India. Nations, Institutions, and economic experts have huge expectations from India. World Bank has said India will continue to remain the fastest growing economy in the coming years. OECD has said future of the world is in India. On climate change, a UN body termed India as super power of solar power,” Modi said.
“There are many examples showcasing global confidence on India. That is instilling confidence among the states. Madhya Pradesh is full of all the possibilities needed to take it among top five states as per GSDP,” said Modi.
“India has witnessed infrastructure boom in the last decade. A big benefit has accrued to MP. Large part of Delhi-Mumbai expressway passes through MP. MP is connected to ports in Mumbai and markets in North India. MP's industrial corridors are getting connected to expressways. Logistics growth has big potential in MP,” Modi said.
Talking about the initiatives taken by the government in the budget, PM Modi said the government has energised all catalysts of growth in the Budget. “Our middle class is big taxpayer. A number of steps have been taken in the budget to empower the middle class. We have made income upto Rs 12 lakh tax free. We have restructured tax slabs. After budget, RBI has cut lending rates,” Modi said.
Modi also said initiatives towards strengthening the local supply chain have been taken in the budget the make the industry strong. “Supply chain push has been provided in the budget for self-reliance in manufacturing. MSME capabilities were restricted by previous governments. Today MSME led supply chain is a priority of our government. Access to credit being is now being provided to MSMEs,” Modi said.
PM Modi said three sectors will play a key role in India's developed future - textile, tourism and technology. “Crores of jobs will be created in these sectors. India is second largest producer of cotton, silk, polyester. India has set of skills, and entrepreneurship linked to textiles. MP is a cotton capital of India and India is looking at new avenues in textile - medical textile, agro textile and geo textile,” Modi added.
