Hero Motors sees ₹215 crore of disclosed sell-side trades as four stocks draw heavy market activity

Four stocks—BSE Ltd, AXISCADES Technologies, Honasa Consumer and Hero Motors—saw sizeable disclosed trades on Tuesday, putting them in focus even as the broader market remained under pressure.

BSE saw 68.33 lakh shares worth ₹2,186.44 crore in disclosed sell-side bulk deals, while the buy-side transactions stood at 52.43 lakh shares worth ₹1,677.60 crore.

AXISCADES, meanwhile, saw 45.49 lakh shares worth ₹829.72 crore on the sell side and 42.02 lakh shares worth ₹766.46 crore on the buy side. Honasa Consumer saw a separate ₹643.4-crore block deal, while Hero Motors recorded more than ₹200 crore each in disclosed buy- and sell-side transactions.

BSE sees ₹3,864 crore of disclosed trades

The BSE transactions involved two buyers and two sellers.

On the buy side, UTI Mutual Fund bought 27,12,950 shares at ₹3,200 apiece, while Nippon India Mutual Fund bought 25,29,550 shares at the same price.

Together, the two transactions amounted to 52,42,500 shares worth ₹1,677.60 crore.

On the sell side, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius I Limited sold 23,81,571 shares at ₹3,200, while BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 44,51,693 shares at ₹3,199.54.

The two transactions together amounted to 68,33,264 shares worth ₹2,186.44 crore.

AXISCADES sees ₹829.72-crore sell-side trade

AXISCADES Technologies also saw unusually large disclosed transactions.

The sell-side transaction involved 45,48,905 shares at ₹1,824 apiece, translating into ₹829.72 crore.

On the buy side, the disclosed transactions added up to 42,02,108 shares worth ₹766.46 crore, with multiple buyers participating in the trades.

AXISCADES shares, however, moved sharply higher during the session and hit the 10% upper circuit at ₹2,067.40, compared with the previous close of ₹1,879.50. About 4.54 million shares reportedly changed hands in a block deal on the counter.

Honasa gets ₹643-crore block deal

Honasa Consumer was another stock in focus after around 1.4 crore shares, or about 4.4% of the company's equity, changed hands in a block deal worth ₹643.4 crore at ₹450 a share.

The transaction price was around 3.4% below the previous close, and the stock fell as much as about 5% during the session. The identities of the buyers and sellers in the block transaction were not immediately disclosed.

Separately, the NSE bulk-deal data shows 1,32,57,784 Honasa shares worth ₹596.84 crore on the sell side.

That included 25,02,289 shares sold by Sequoia Capital Global Growth Fund III at ₹450, worth ₹112.60 crore, and 1,07,55,495 shares sold by Peak XV Partners Investments VI at ₹450.22, worth about ₹484.24 crore.

The buy side stood at 51,11,110 shares worth ₹230 crore, with Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance among the disclosed buyers.

The ₹596.84-crore bulk-deal figure should not be added to the separately reported ₹643.4-crore block deal. The public reporting on the latter did not independently confirm the participants.

Hero Motors sees heavy two-way activity

Hero Motors also recorded substantial two-way activity, with 1,54,27,406 shares worth ₹212.54 crore disclosed on the buy side and 1,56,77,271 shares worth ₹215.49 crore on the sell side.

AlphaGrep Securities, Jump Trading Financial India, Plutus Wealth Management and QE Securities appeared in the disclosed transactions. AlphaGrep, Jump Trading and Plutus appeared on both sides, while the quantities on the two sides were not always identical.

The disclosures, however, do not establish whether the corresponding buy and sell transactions were linked.

Hero Motors has seen elevated trading activity since its recent listing, with the stock also featuring in large-deal disclosures on September 28.
