As one of just three Asian exchange brands in the sector’s top 10, NSE’s rise indicates not only the strength of India’s capital markets, but also the growing importance of the Indian economy in shaping the future of global finance, according to the press release.

NSE’s brand value surged 39% to USD526 million in 2025, marking a significant milestone for the country’s largest stock exchange. Substantial forecasted revenues, a record-breaking IPO wave, increasing derivatives activities, and robust performance in index-related businesses support the growth. In FY2023 – 24, NSE’s revenue rose 25% year-on-year to ₹14,780 crore (approximately USD1.78 billion), while net profit increased by 13% to ₹8,306 crore (approximately USD1.0 billion).

With 91 large companies raising ₹1.6 trillion (approximately USD 19.3 billion) through IPOs in 2024 and overall equity fundraising more than doubling to ₹3.73 trillion (around USD 44.9 billion), NSE’s growth highlights India’s accelerating capital market momentum and its increasing influence on the global financial stage, per the press release.

Ajimon Francis, Managing Director, Brand Finance India, said, "NSE’s debut in the global top 10 signals more than just impressive brand value growth. It reflects a broader shift in global financial gravity. NSE’s standout quality is the technology backbone it offers, along with various tech-driven services that investors can utilise to ensure safe and quick transactions. India’s deepening capital markets, supported by rising investor participation, record IPO activities, and innovation in products, are gaining global relevance."
