The Indian benchmark indices are expected to open flat today after tracking weak global cues. The US markets declined further on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 continuing its decline for the fourth day, marking it as the longest streak in three months.
Influenced by Wall Street, the Asian markets were also trading downwards, only to rebound marginally as the session progressed. Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up by 0.62%, Singapore’s Straits Times by 0.07%, and South Korea’s KOSPI rose by 0.25%. The Shanghai Composite and the Hang Seng saw a small uptick of 0.21% and 0.09% respectively.
The S&P 500 dipped by 55.09 points, or 0.83%, to 6,617.32, and the Nasdaq Composite by 275.23 points, or 1.21%, to 22,432.85. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 498.50 points, or 1.07%, to 46,091.74,
On the domestic front, the GIFT Nifty index indicated a tepid start for the Indian benchmark indices. At 7:50 am, the GIFT Nifty index was trading with an 8-point discount, or 0.03%, at 25,950.50.
On November 18, the Indian stock markets ended lower, snapping their six-day winning streak. The Sensex declined 277.93 points, or 0.33%, to close at 84,673.02, while the Nifty50 settled 103.40 points, or 0.40%, lower at 25,910.05.
Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) continued their buying in this month, as they purchased equities worth ₹6,156 crore on November 18, while Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold equities worth ₹728 crore.

Inox Wind: The wind energy solutions provider announced that it has entered into an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KP Energy Limited (KPE), to establish a strategic partnership aimed at jointly developing 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across multiple states in India.
LTIMindtree: The IT company announced expansion of its global collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate Microsoft Azure adoption and drive AI-powered business transformation for enterprises. As a part of this collaboration, LTIMindtree will enable faster cloud adoption and unlock enhanced business value for joint customers through advanced AI solutions.
Mahanagar Gas: The company clarified news regarding the disruption in CNG distribution in Mumbai. “The gas pipeline of GAIL (India) Limited (‘GAIL’) was damaged by a third party. The damaged pipeline is a feeder pipeline for receiving gas at MGL’s City Gate Station (‘CGS’) at Wadala. Due to this incident, gas supply to CGS at Wadala was interrupted,” the statement read. The Company confirmed that gas supply by GAIL is fully restored and all operations of MGL are back to normal from the afternoon of Tuesday, November 18.
NTPC Green Energy: The company has successfully commissioned part of the Khavda-I Solar PV Project (Phase-II, Tranche-III) under the CPSU scheme in Gujarat. A capacity of 75.5 MW out of the total 1255 MW has been declared commercial from today.
Waaree Energies: The company informed that certain officials of the Income Tax Department visited some of the Company’s offices and its facilities in India for conducting an investigation under the Income Tax Act, 1961. The proceedings are underway, and the company is extending its full cooperation to the officials.
Dhanlaxmi Bank: It appointed Sujatha Jaganathan, General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, as Additional Director on the Board of the Bank, in place of DX Kashyap, for a period of two years from November 19, 2025, to November 18, 2027 or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
