MoUs with 25 nations to recognise Indian systems of medicine: AYUSH Secy

In order to help AYUSH achieve global recognition, the central government has signed 25 country to country MoUs for mutual regulatory approvals and recognitions for Indian pharmacopoeia standards. The Global Centre for Traditional Medicine has been established in Gujarat, and WHO has published a benchmark document of training and treatment of Ayurveda, Unani and Panchkarma with Yoga and Siddha to follow soon. Evidence based research collaboration with foreign research institutions, establishment of AYUSH Export Promotion Council expected to help.
