Rishu Monga to create 99 Millionaires in India

PR Consultant, Branding Specialist, SEO Expert, Digital Marketer, and International Political Campaign Planner. Those are just a few of the hats that Rishu Monga wears and yet this multi-talented serial entrepreneur seems not content and is aiming for a few more. This time he wants to take on the role of a Millionaire Mentor and wishes to create no less than 99 Millionaires in India over the period of next 5 years!

We can't help but marvel at his dream project 999 Millionaires and therefore, we caught up with him recently and here are the excerpts from the candid session.

Please tell us a bit more about the 99 Millionaires project.

It’s quite simple, actually. I intend to mentor 99 youngsters over the course of next 4-5 years and help them become millionaires. So, it is kind of a guided course under my mentorship wherein I will help each one of them to set up, manage and run their own small business, which will eventually make them a millionaire. The mentorship will continue till they make their first million. The best part is that there won’t be any fees for the course or any investment in the business. Yes, I will show them how to have a viable business with ZERO investment.

Wow, it sounds like a great opportunity. Please tell us a bit more.

I know the opportunity does sound great and believe me when I say that the best is yet to come. Let me share a bit more. The opportunity doesn’t involve selling any products. There’s no buying or selling of goods. No inventory. No multi-level or network marketing. No online scams. No share market trading. No cryptocurrency. No speculation. No recruitment of people or collection of money from anyone for selling pipe-dreams. Just a solid business model that can be replicated anywhere in India by a single person to generate a million every year!

That sounds amazing and a little too good to be true. Can anyone join the program?

Of course not. This opportunity is not for everyone. It is for 99 special youngsters who will be chosen based on an online test that will gauge their emotional maturity and their background. I am not looking for any particular skills or education. I just seek youngsters who have the hunger to thrive. The test will be available all through January 2022 and the mentorship will begin from February 2022 for those who get through. I am looking only for a limited number of youngsters as I am limited by my own bandwidth.

Please tell us a bit about your background.

I am a post graduate in business management. I am also a self taught, multi-disciplinary professional. I have 21 years of experience in Public Relations, 19 years in Web Design & Search Engine Optimization, 17 years in Branding & Advertising, 12 years in Social Media and Digital Marketing and 9 years in Political Campaign Management. Over the period of the last 15 years I have founded 9 companies and I’m proud of the fact that none of my business ventures required any investment. I started all of them from ZERO and scaled them up to a level wherein they have together generated over Rs.500 million till date. Additionally, my companies have serviced over 5000 clients from all across the world. Another fun fact is that my team has never grown beyond 25 people.

What inspired you for the 99 Millionaires project.

It’s not just a project. It’s a dream that I must fulfill. My inspiration is my own journey. It hasn’t been a comfortable ride. No way. But it sure has been worthwhile. Becoming a millionaire once can be called a fluke, but doing it twice against all odds and that too without any investment, either of the times, is proof that it is not only doable but replicable too.

When I started my career in 2000, my first goal was to become a millionaire myself. It took me over 10 years to get there. I could have done it much sooner if there was someone to mentor me, someone who was an actual millionaire himself and knew what it takes. I established my first company, Creativizt Communications in 2004 and it took me a long while to make it profitable. I could have avoided so many mistakes and learned from my mentor's experience. But that was not meant to be and I did it all the hard way, myself. Falling, time and again. Getting up, time and again. Learning from my mistakes, some of which I repeated and regretted. But eventually, I made it and built myself a small business empire.

The euphoria, however, was short lived and a jolt came out of the blue. I lost almost everything I built in the previous ten years. My business partner got greedy and chose to betray me and usurp my businesses. This fiasco happened in 2014 and I was back to the grind once again. I am fighting a legal battle to get back what’s mine but that’s not something I delve too much into. This time, however, I promised myself that I will become a millionaire again but in half the time. I worked hard but still I missed the target by over a year. However, I got there again. I am proud to say that I am a millionaire again and that I have built yet another empire for myself without any investment and this time I have no partners who can betray me.

My own success and failures have formed the foundation of my 99 Millionaires program. Over the years, I documented all my endeavours, everything including my decisions, failures and successes. I thought that I'd turn it into a book a few years down the line. But now, I have found a better use of all the experience I earned over the years.

Now, I just want to share my knowledge, experiences and resources to help worthy youngsters by mentoring them and providing them with opportunities that they never saw coming. Their first million is on me!

My ultimate target is to create 99 millionaires through this programme and give back to the community that has given me so much. Once this goal is achieved, I may or may not extend the program and take up another batch.
