AS A CHILD, Madhavan Menon travelled extensively with his family. Today, as managing director of 131-year-old travel services company Thomas Cook India, Menon keeps his trips short and considers his 100-plus-days-a-year travel schedule unavoidable. His years of travelling have taught him how to deal with airlines. He makes it a point to reach the airport 90 minutes before departure. Most of his trips are to the Thomas Cook headquarters in London or its offices in Mauritius. A recent addition to Menon’s itinerary is Toronto. He is off to London again, this time for the Olympics.
