The homehrown asset manager reports higher year-on-year earnings for September quarter, while expenses rise faster than income; declares interim dividend of ₹30 per share.

ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) on Monday reported a 6.1% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹889 crore for the July-September quarter of FY27, compared with ₹838 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 16.3% year-on-year from ₹1,439.06 crore in the year-ago quarter, indicating continued growth in the company's operating income.
However, the increase in net profit was slower than revenue growth, highlighting a divergence between the company's top-line expansion and its bottom-line performance.
The company's total income increased 11.9% year-on-year from ₹1,510.92 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Meanwhile, total expenses rose 17.9% from ₹418.31 crore in the year-ago period. The faster increase in expenses compared with total income and revenue from operations is a key factor to watch when assessing the company's earnings performance.
The latest results show that although operating revenue expanded at a double-digit pace, profit growth remained more moderate during the quarter.
The company's earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹17.99 in the September quarter, compared with ₹16.95 in the corresponding period last year, representing an increase of around 6.1% year-on-year.
However, EPS declined from ₹19.52 in the preceding quarter, indicating a sequential moderation in per-share earnings.
The difference between the year-on-year improvement and quarter-on-quarter decline provides a more nuanced picture of the company's performance in the September quarter.
Separately, ICICI Prudential AMC declared an interim dividend of ₹30 per share, according to media reports. The dividend details should be checked against the company's official board outcome before publication.
