Pharmacy-focused quick commerce startup Plazza has reportedly raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. Existing investors All In Capital and Better Capital also participated in the round.

The Bengaluru-based startup is expected to use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology platform, improve its AI-driven inventory and assortment intelligence, build operational capabilities and expand its pharmacy network into new geographies.

Founded in 2024 by Aman Priyadarshi, Plazza operates a pharmacy-first quick commerce platform that promises medicine deliveries in 15 to 30 minutes. The company says it uses artificial intelligence to optimise inventory management and improve medicine availability.

The latest funding comes roughly 10 months after Plazza raised $1.4 million in a seed round led by All In Capital. Better Capital, Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal, Bounce founder Vivekananda Hallekere, the Singhania family office and the promoters of JK Tyre had also participated in that round.

According to the company, each Plazza store stocks over 40,000 SKUs—around eight times the inventory of a typical neighbourhood pharmacy. It claims this enables prescription fulfilment rates of more than 95%, compared with the industry average of 50% to 60%.

The startup also said its gross merchandise value (GMV) grew nearly 27-fold between June 2025 and March 2026. It added that repeat customers place baskets that are about 30% larger than first-time buyers.

Plazza says it is addressing a longstanding challenge in India's pharmaceutical retail market, where neighbourhood pharmacies generally stock around 5,000 medicines despite the overall market comprising more than 100,000 SKUs.

The funding comes amid intensifying competition in quick medicine delivery. Flipkart entered the category through Flipkart Minutes in December 2024, while Zepto launched its pharmacy service in 2025, offering 10-minute medicine delivery in select cities. Blinkit has also expanded beyond over-the-counter medicines by piloting prescription medicine delivery in Bengaluru.

Investor interest in the sector has also picked up over the past year. In September 2025, Bengaluru-based online pharmacy PlatinumRx raised $6 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, while Truemeds secured $85 million from investors led by Accel and Peak XV Partners to expand its presence in the online pharmacy market.
