The initiative will be part of the 10th edition of IMC, scheduled to be held from October 7 to 10 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. It aims to promote Indian technology brands and companies across the global technology value chain, in line with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Viksit Tech 47 will cover categories including consumer devices, wearables and audio, video and surveillance, connected mobility, smart home and Internet of Things (IoT), components and manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), deep tech, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms.

Ramakrishna P., CEO of India Mobile Congress, said, “India has no shortage of technological talent or ambition, what we have lacked is a platform that helps our companies think and compete globally, not just locally. With Viksit Tech 47, that is exactly what we are building, a platform to identify India’s most promising technology companies and help them grow into genuine global brands.”

Viksit Tech 47 to release report on Indian technology companies

The initiative will culminate in a report to be released at IMC 2026, based on a study of more than 200 Indian technology companies and interviews with founders and industry experts. The report will examine India’s position in the global technology value chain. Techarc, a technology analytics, research and consulting firm will serve as the research partner for the initiative.

Viksit Tech 47 will also include the Dr. Zarabi Indigenisation Award for Startups, which will recognise startups developing innovations in design, engineering, components and manufacturing to build hardware, gadgets, devices and appliances that were previously import-dependent.

The initiative is part of IMC 2026’s broader theme, “Scale Without Boundaries”, which focuses on taking Indian innovation, technology and ideas to global markets.
