The investment will fund product development, research and development, and global expansion as the cybersecurity company seeks to combine AI security with its existing mobile application protection capabilities.

Protectt.ai Labs Private Limited has acquired a majority stake in AIShield, an artificial intelligence security platform incubated at Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW), marking a strategic expansion of its cybersecurity business. The transaction combines a primary issuance of shares with a secondary purchase from existing investors, although the companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.
Following the investment, AIShield will operate as an independent entity, AI Shield Private Limited (AISW), under Protectt.ai. The partnership is aimed at accelerating product development, strengthening research capabilities and expanding the platform's international footprint, with a particular focus on security solutions for enterprises operating in regulated industries.
AIShield's technology portfolio spans AI security assessment, red teaming, runtime protection and safety guardrails, addressing vulnerabilities that emerge as businesses deploy AI systems in production environments. The company has more than 40 patent filings, including 11 granted patent families, and serves customers across Europe and the Middle East.
Its capabilities include identifying AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and vulnerabilities in AI applications. The platform is designed to address security risks throughout the AI lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and operation.
The investment will support further research and development, alongside the creation of sovereign AI security capabilities. These solutions are intended to help organisations maintain greater control over their AI systems, data and workloads while meeting evolving security and regulatory requirements.
Protectt.ai plans to leverage its existing customer relationships and mobile application security expertise to expand AIShield's reach, particularly across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI). Its customer base includes banks, non-banking financial companies, insurers, fintech firms and government platforms.
The company operates across India, the UAE and the US, while its stated reach extends across the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Southeast Asia. According to the company, its security platform protects more than 900 million devices, secures over 10 billion sessions every month and has prevented more than 8 billion threats.
The combined capabilities are expected to strengthen its offering as businesses seek to secure AI applications against emerging cyber risks.
Protectt.ai founder and chief executive Manish Mimani said the partnership would bring together AIShield's engineering capabilities and patent portfolio with Protectt.ai's customer relationships to develop a broader AI security platform.
The proposed offering is intended to cover three areas: AI for Security, Security for AI and Sovereign AI Security. The companies aim to help enterprises deploy AI while retaining greater oversight of their systems and associated risks.
Bessemer Venture Partners, which backs Protectt.ai, described the transaction as an indication of the growing maturity of India's technology ecosystem, where domestic companies are increasingly positioned to partner with established technology assets and expand into international markets.
