Trump said Iran's new leadership is less radical and much more reasonable, but if a deal is not achieved, the U.S. will hit the country's power generation plants simultaneously

U.S. President Donald Trump today said America will achieve all its military objectives in Iran very "shortly" and hit the country "extremely" hard in the next two weeks and push it back to the Stone age if no deal is achieved.
"We will continue till our objectives are fully achieved. Thanks to the progress we have made, I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America's military objectives shortly, very shortly. We are going to hit them extremely hard in the next two to three weeks," Trump said in an address today.
"We are going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong. In the meantime, discussions are ongoing. Regime was not or goal. We never said regime change has occurred because all their original leaders are dead," Trump said.
Trump said the new group (in Iran) is less radical and much more reasonable. "Yet if during this time if no deal is made, we have our eyes on key targets. If there is no deal, we are going to hit each and every one of their electric generating plants very hard and probably simultaneously," Trump said.
Trump said the U.S. has not hit the oil assets of Iran, even though they are the easiest targets. "But we could hit it and it would be gone and they won't be able to do anything about it," he said.
Trump said Iran now does not have any anti-aircraft aircraft equipment, and their radars are hundred percent annihilated. "We are unstoppable as a military force. The nuclear sites that we obliterated with the B2 bombers have been hot so hard that it will take months to get near to the nuclear dust," said Trump, adding that the U.S. has all the cards while Iran has none.
Reacting to Trump's speech Garima Kapoor, deputy head of research and economist at Elara Capital said uncertainty will prevail in the near term with crude oil prices remaining firm, even as hopes have been offered for closure or war within next 2 to 3 weeks.
"So far Iran doesn't seem to be buckling under any pressure of America, but America's degrees of freedom are reducing, suggesting limited ability to continue longer. We see a finality to war soon. Heightened Volatility is likely to persist in the short term," she said.
"By saying core strategic objectives are nearing completion in the Iran War, Trump signals near term finality to the West Asian crisis. Next 2 to 3 weeks either the escalation could increase substantially including attack on Iranian power and crude facilities or some deal could be achieved," she added.
"The focus of US has moved away from regime change and opening of Hormuz. We beleieve, as US Iran escalation ends, the cost of insuring vessels passing through Hormuz would come down too, allowing gradual movement of energy to resume in Hormuz," she said.
