Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Friday expanded its Thar Roxx portfolio with the launch of the Thar Roxx Star Edition, a new variant positioned above existing trims, with introductory prices starting at ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Star Edition introduces cosmetic and interior enhancements while retaining the mechanical configuration of the standard Thar Roxx. According to the company, the variant is aimed at buyers looking for greater visual and cabin differentiation within the lifestyle SUV segment.
Variant-wise, the diesel manual version of the Thar Roxx Star Edition is priced at ₹16.85 lakh, while the petrol automatic is priced at ₹17.85 lakh. The diesel automatic variant is priced at ₹18.35 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
Mechanically, the STAR Edition continues with Mahindra’s existing engine options. These include the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mStallion engine, producing 130 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, and the 2.2-litre diesel mHawk, delivering 128.6 kW and 400 Nm.
Both engines are offered with manual and automatic transmission options. All variants are configured with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout.

The Star Edition is equipped with a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, connected car technology with voice assistant integration, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a surround-view camera. A nine-speaker premium audio system is also offered.
On the safety front, the SUV comes with six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, auto-dimming IRVM, and emergency call and SOS functionality. Mahindra said the Thar ROXX range has been engineered to meet 5-star Bharat NCAP safety standards.
