Tata Motors rolls out Xpres petrol and CNG fleet sedans, prices start at ₹5.59 lakh

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has expanded its Xpres fleet portfolio with the launch of petrol and CNG variants, moving beyond the electric-only Xpres EV to address a wider section of India’s commercial mobility market.
Bookings for the new Tata Xpres petrol and CNG models are now open across authorised fleet dealerships. Prices begin at ₹5.59 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹6.59 lakh for the CNG variant (ex-showroom Delhi), placing the model in the competitive entry-level fleet sedan segment.
Powertrain options aimed at high-usage fleets
The petrol and CNG variants of the Xpres are powered by Tata Motors’ 1.2-litre Revotron engine. The CNG version features a 70-litre twin-cylinder setup, which allows for improved boot usability compared to traditional single-cylinder CNG layouts—an important factor for commercial operators with luggage-heavy use cases.
According to the company, the petrol variant is also positioned with a larger usable boot space, addressing operational requirements in segments such as airport transfers and intercity travel.
Commenting on the expansion of the Xpres lineup, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., stated, “The model was developed to address operational challenges faced by fleet owners and drivers, and that the addition of ICE variants would help cater to a broader range of fleet requirements across different powertrain preferences.”

Warranty, running costs and dealer push
The Xpres petrol and CNG models come with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to five years or 1,80,000 km. Tata Motors has also underlined low maintenance costs and tailored financing options as part of its fleet-focused offering.
To support commercial customers, TMPV has been expanding exclusive fleet-oriented dealerships in select cities, aimed at providing dedicated sales and service infrastructure with quicker turnaround times.
Wider fleet applications in focus
With the addition of petrol and CNG variants, the Tata Xpres portfolio now spans electric, petrol and CNG powertrains. The expanded range is expected to strengthen Tata Motors’ presence across high-volume fleet segments such as cab aggregators, employee transportation, intercity services, rent-a-car operators and tourist taxi businesses.
