Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday launched the facelifted Toyota Glanza in India at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹6.99 lakh, introducing Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a new-generation petrol engine and an automated manual transmission (AMT) option for CNG variants.
Bookings for the hatchback have opened at ₹11,000, while deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first week of November. The updated model builds on the Glanza’s existing positioning in the hatchback segment, with Toyota adding safety, comfort and connectivity features alongside refreshed styling.
New petrol engine, CNG-AMT combination
The updated Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine producing 61 kW of power and 112.4 Nm of torque. The CNG version delivers 51.3 kW and 101.8 Nm of torque, with the introduction of AMT expanding the transmission choices available to CNG buyers.
Toyota claims fuel efficiency of 23.80 km per litre for the manual petrol variant and 24.77 km per litre for the AMT version.
Commenting on the launch, Tadashi Asazuma, deputy managing director at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the Glanza had remained a popular choice among buyers seeking a stylish and dependable hatchback since its introduction in 2019.
“The 2026 New Toyota Glanza builds on this strong legacy with a sharper and sportier design, a more premium cabin experience and advanced safety technologies making it an even more compelling choice for today's customers,” Asazuma said.
Level 2 ADAS, six airbags and connected features
The hatchback’s safety package includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning and prevention, autonomous emergency braking and high-beam assist. Other features include six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill-hold control, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera.
Toyota has also added ventilated front seats and wireless smartphone charging, alongside a head-up display, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a 60:40 split rear seat.
The connected-car package comprises a 22.86-cm Smart Playcast Pro infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Toyota i-Connect services offering remote vehicle access, safety alerts, geofencing and vehicle-health monitoring.
Sabari Manohar, executive vice president, sales-service-used car business at TKM, said the ADAS package and CNG-AMT combination were aimed at improving safety and driving convenience. He added that ventilated seats, wireless charging and refreshed styling further strengthened the car’s appeal.
The Glanza will be offered in seven colours, including the newly introduced Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green. Toyota is offering a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable to five years or 2,20,000 km, along with 24x7 roadside assistance and 60-minute express maintenance.
