The components will be manufactured at Bharat Forge’s aerospace facility in India, which has been developed specifically for high-performance and high-value aero-engine products. The facility uses advanced manufacturing technologies and operates to stringent global standards covering quality, precision, reliability and traceability — key requirements for aerospace applications.

Pratt & Whitney Canada strengthens India sourcing

The agreement comes as Pratt & Whitney Canada looks to build a more resilient and high-performing global supply chain while strengthening its sourcing base in India. Nathalie Rivet, Vice President, Supply Chain, Pratt & Whitney Canada, said the collaboration with Bharat Forge would support the company's customers and future growth ambitions.

“We are confident in Bharat Forge’s high-performance aerospace manufacturing capabilities, technical excellence, and a robust commitment to quality that aligns with our niche requirements, to strengthen our supply chain sourcing from India,” Rivet said.

The comments underline the strategic significance of the contract beyond the supply of individual components. For Pratt & Whitney Canada, the partnership adds manufacturing capacity in India to its global sourcing network, while for Bharat Forge it provides another opportunity to participate in the supply chain for aerospace engine programmes.

Bharat Forge expands high-value aerospace play

For Bharat Forge, the contract reinforces its positioning as a supplier of high-value and safety-critical aerospace products. Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge, said the long-term partnership was a testament to the company's leadership in the global aerospace supply chain.

“This long-term partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada is a testament to Bharat Forge’s leadership in the global aerospace supply chain. It reflects our commitment to delivering world-class aerospace solutions through advanced manufacturing, operational excellence, and uncompromising quality standards,” Kalyani said.

He added that Bharat Forge looks forward to supporting Pratt & Whitney Canada’s programmes while contributing to the advancement of India's aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

The Pune-based Kalyani Group flagship has a manufacturing footprint across five countries and operates across automotive, aerospace, defence, rail, marine, energy and industrial sectors. Its aerospace business focuses on the design, development and manufacture of critical aerospace, defence and marine systems, structures and components.

The company said its aerospace facility in India has been developed to manufacture high-performance, high-value aero-engine products, while its broader aerospace business leverages advanced manufacturing technologies and strategic collaborations with global aerospace players.
