India assumed the BRICS chairship in 2026, with New Delhi set to host a series of related meetings alongside the leaders' summit. These include the 16th BRICS Health Ministers’ Meeting and the 4th BRICS Technical Meeting on Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine.

Ahead of the meetings, The LaLiT New Delhi is preparing its banqueting and conference facilities to accommodate visiting delegations and technical sessions. The hotel said its focus will be on ensuring smooth operations while maintaining its focus on personalised service.

“India hosting the BRICS Summit is a moment of immense pride for the country, and for us at The LaLiT, it is also deeply personal,” said Vishal Sharma, General Manager, The LaLiT New Delhi.

“The LaLiT New Delhi was built with the belief that a hotel should be an extension of the nation it represents—warm, dignified and unmistakably Indian. As the world arrives at our doorstep this September, we look forward to welcoming our guests with that same spirit,” he added.

Focus on personalised hospitality

The hotel said its approach during the summit will build on its focus on guest relationships and personalised service. According to the property, many guests return regularly, citing familiarity with the hotel and its service as factors behind repeat visits. “At the heart of ‘Hospitality With A Heart’ is the ability to understand our guests beyond the obvious and to anticipate their needs with sincerity,” Sharma said.

“As we welcome delegates and visitors from across the world during the BRICS Summit, our focus will remain on delivering an experience that is seamless, personal and genuinely warm,” he added.

With international delegations expected to stay in the capital during the summit, hotels across New Delhi are preparing for heightened demand and increased requirements around accommodation, meetings, dining and event facilities.

The LaLiT New Delhi said its preparations are aimed at combining operational efficiency and discretion with an emphasis on Indian hospitality as the capital hosts leaders and officials from across the BRICS grouping.
