Juneja brings more than three decades of professional experience, including over 22 years with DHL Express, having joined the company in 2004. He has been a member of the India Management Board since 2007 and has held senior leadership positions across sales, marketing and commercial functions. He took charge of the country's commercial function in 2013, playing a key role in shaping the company's commercial strategy and strengthening its market position.

His responsibilities have spanned customer development, strategic pricing, digitalisation, and identifying new growth opportunities, with a focus on profitable growth and enhancing customer value.

“India and South Asia are among the most dynamic markets in our region, with significant opportunities for businesses to grow their international footprint and participate in global trade. Capturing that opportunity requires strong market knowledge, close customer relationships and an organization that can translate ambition into sustainable growth. Sandeep brings all three. I look forward to seeing him build on that robust foundation and lead our business into the next phase of growth,” said Ken Lee, CEO for Asia Pacific, DHL Express.

The leadership transition comes at a time when South Asia is emerging as an important growth market for global trade. According to the DHL Globalization Tracker, South and Central Asia is forecast to record the second-fastest trade growth during 2026–29, behind only the Middle East and North Africa.

India's recent trade agreements with the European Union, the UK, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), New Zealand and Oman are also expected to create opportunities for businesses to diversify trading partners, strengthen supply chains and expand their international footprint. DHL Express aims to leverage its global network and cross-border logistics capabilities to help businesses tap these opportunities.

“It is a privilege to lead a business I have been part of for more than two decades. With India and Bangladesh among our Group's high-growth markets, there are significant opportunities for businesses to expand across the region. Building on R. S. Subramanian’s strong foundation, my focus will be on our customers, our people and delivering sustainable growth and excellent service,” said Juneja, SVP-designate for South Asia and Managing Director for India, DHL Express.
