As India's luxury real estate market pushes developers to differentiate every aspect of a building, elevator maker HYBON is betting that vertical mobility can become a design statement rather than just a utility. The company on has unveiled an exclusive partnership with Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini and announced a ₹100 crore investment to expand its premium luxury elevator business in India.
Tonino Lamborghini is a luxury lifestyle brand founded by Tonino Lamborghini, the son of Automobili Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini.
The collaboration marks the launch of what the companies describe as India's first luxury elevator collection, designed and manufactured by HYBON in India while incorporating Tonino Lamborghini's signature Italian design language. The collection is aimed at luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects across the country.
"Luxury today is about experience and detail. Elevators are often the first interior touchpoint inside a building, yet they have largely remained functional spaces. With this collaboration, we wanted to create something that people don't just use but truly experience," said Ratan Singh Sehgal, managing director of HYBON.
The collection comprises four cabin designs, IMPERO, MARTE, SOMMO and DINAMICO, featuring metallic finishes, carbon fibre inspired textures and customised interiors. According to the company, each elevator can be tailored for different project requirements, including speed, capacity, finishes and cabin configurations.
Tonino Lamborghini, founder and president of Tonino Lamborghini S.p.A., said the partnership represents the brand's entry into a new category.
"Being a first-mover is part of my DNA. Since I founded my brand in 1981, my vision has always been clear: to bring Italian design and character into every dimension of life. Today, with HYBON, I am proud to be the first brand to enter the universe of vertical mobility. This is the spirit that has always guided me: to open new territories, to create new categories, to bring my vision where no one else has dared," he said.
He added, "Tonino Lamborghini is not a product, it is a lifestyle. And luxury, for me, is in every detail of that journey, not a mere possession, but something to be experienced."
HYBON, which has over a decade of experience manufacturing premium elevators in India, said the investment and collaboration reflect its ambition to strengthen its position in the country's growing luxury mobility market while meeting international design standards through locally manufactured products.
Beyond aesthetics, the elevators incorporate technology such as AI enabled face recognition access, destination control systems, interactive digital displays, mood lighting, climate controlled cabins and advanced safety systems.
