New Hyderabad facility to serve as Solestra’s dedicated global manufacturing centre, boosting high-precision aerospace capabilities and supply-chain resilience without a traditional JV structure
Jeh Aerospace inks multi-year agreement with Solestra, inaugurates dedicated global manufacturing centre

Jeh Aerospace and U.S.-based Solestra Group announced a multi-year, multi-million-dollar agreement and inaugurated a dedicated global manufacturing centre (GMC) for Solestra at Jeh’s Hyderabad facility. The amount was not disclosed.

The GMC is not on a subcontracting basis, and is instead a dedicated shop floor with machines, space, and workforce aligned to customers’ programs, standards, and quality systems, operating as a true extension of customers’ own sites. The Solestra GMC also adds high-precision mechanical systems to Jeh’s aero-engine and aerostructure capability.

Both companies are certified to AS9100D. This certification means both companies meet the highest global quality and safety standards required for aerospace and defence manufacturing.

“Customers gain expanded capacity, faster industrialisation, and cost advantage, with full digital-thread transparency, rigorous IP protection, and a single point of accountability, dedicated capacity that strengthens reliability and control while building real supply-chain resilience,” the statement read.

According to the statement by the companies, this GMC provides the benefits of a joint venture in India without the governance, ownership, and exit burden of one.

What led to the agreement

According to Joe DeMartino, CEO, Solestra Group, the GMC expands the company’s ability to support new product introduction (NPI), increase capacity, speed industrialisation, and deliver competitive solutions. “Just as importantly, it strengthens our ability to support larger and more complex programs while enabling our North American operations to focus on advanced manufacturing, assembly, and customer engagement.

For Solestra, Jeh Aerospace’s capabilities and execution led to the agreement. “What convinced us was execution: Jeh had built the cell and installed the first machines at a rapid pace,” DeMartino said.

“For too long, the industry has optimised for local efficiency and transactional supply. That does not build resilience. Venky (Venkatesh Mudragalla) and I spent two decades building and running India’s joint ventures for the world’s leading OEMs. We took what worked, engineered out what didn’t, and built the first model of its kind in India — every benefit of an India JV, without the burden of one,” said Vishal Sanghavi, Founder & CEO, Jeh Aerospace.

Solestra Group is a full-service precision manufacturing provider, serving the aerospace, defence, medical, and high-precision industries. Solestra unites six specialised businesses across machining, fabrication, and complex assembly, operating through strategic regional hubs across North America.
