Jio-bp’s 7,000-plus charging points will be integrated into Kia’s MyKia app, while Kia’s dealership fast chargers will be progressively added to Jio-bp’s charging platform.
Jio-bp and Kia India have partnered to integrate their electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, expanding access to public charging infrastructure for EV owners across the country.
Under the partnership, Jio-bp’s network of more than 7,000 charging points across over 1,100 sites in more than 300 cities will be accessible through K-Charge on Kia India’s MyKia app. The integration will take the number of public charging points available to Kia EV owners through the platform to over 23,500 nationwide.
The integration will also work in the other direction, with Kia India’s 125 operational dealership-based DC fast chargers, along with additional chargers commissioned in the future, being progressively added to the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.
Both platforms will allow customers to discover charging stations, navigate to them, initiate and monitor charging sessions, and make payments through a single interface.
Jio-bp brings fast-charging infrastructure and highway coverage
Jio-bp, the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Ltd, a joint venture between Reliance Industries and bp, operates more than 7,000 charging points across over 1,100 active charging sites in more than 300 cities. Its network includes charging stations along major national highways, supporting long-distance travel for EV owners.
The company’s DC fast chargers offer capacities ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, enabling compatible Kia EV models to charge at speeds closer to their maximum charging capability. Jio-bp said its charging network maintains an uptime of 96%, addressing reliability concerns that often contribute to range anxiety among EV owners.
The Jio-bp pulse charge pro app offers charger discovery, real-time network information, charging-session management and payments. The company said its technology-led platform is designed to improve the reliability and convenience of public EV charging.
“For EV owners, range anxiety is often not just about charger availability, but about knowing whether the next charger will be operational. That’s where Jio-bp pulse comes in, with high-uptime charging stations and fast-charging technology designed to deliver a reliable, seamless charging experience. Together with Kia, we are making it easier for customers to access this network directly through the app,” said Akshay Wadhwa, CEO of Jio-bp.
MyKia app to offer an integrated charging experience
The integration of Jio-bp’s network into K-Charge will allow Kia EV owners to access more than 23,500 public charging points through the MyKia app. Customers can locate nearby chargers, plan journeys, initiate and track charging sessions, and make cashless payments without switching between multiple platforms.
“At Kia India, we are committed to making every aspect of the EV ownership experience as seamless and rewarding as the vehicles themselves. The integration of Jio-bp’s extensive charging network with K-Charge on the MyKia app is another step in this direction, giving Kia EV customers greater access to charging options through a single platform,” said Atul Sood, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Kia India.
Sarthak Behuria, chairman of Jio-bp, said the partnership would help strengthen consumer confidence in electric mobility by combining nationwide charging coverage with high-performance infrastructure.
“By bringing our nationwide network and high-performance charging infrastructure to Kia, we are not just adding charging points, we are building that trust together. This collaboration marks a meaningful step in our broader vision to make clean mobility accessible, dependable, and future-ready for every Indian on the road,” he said.
The partnership comes as automakers and charging network operators seek to improve the accessibility and reliability of public charging infrastructure, key factors influencing the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
