Waaree Solar Americas, the US-based photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing arm of Waaree Energies , has secured a 236.22 MW utility-scale solar module supply contract for a major solar power project in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
Under the agreement, the company will supply its high-efficiency N-Type G12R solar modules in 615 Wp and 620 Wp categories. The modules will be produced at Waaree Solar Americas’ manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, aligning with the company’s focus on expanding domestic manufacturing capacity and meeting rising demand for US-made solar products.
The order strengthens Waaree Solar Americas’ growing presence in the US market and adds to its expanding order pipeline, reflecting increasing customer confidence in its manufacturing scale, technology capabilities and execution track record.
The US remains one of Waaree’s key growth markets, supported by accelerating renewable energy deployment, stronger demand for locally manufactured components and the continued development of a resilient domestic solar supply chain. Waaree currently has an order book of ₹53,000 crore across major markets.
The Kentucky project is expected to support the state’s clean energy goals while contributing to the development of reliable and domestically manufactured solar infrastructure aimed at enhancing energy security and long-term sustainability.
Commenting on the development, Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree Group, said the order highlights growing confidence among utility-scale developers in Waaree Solar Americas as a domestic manufacturing partner. “Our Made-in-America modules combine advanced technology, superior quality and dependable execution—attributes that have become increasingly important as the US solar industry scales. The United States remains a key strategic market for Waaree, and this contract further strengthens our order book while reinforcing our long-term commitment to supporting America’s clean energy transition through world-class domestic manufacturing,” Rathi said.
The latest contract adds to Waaree Solar Americas’ expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar projects across the US and reflects the company’s continued investments to build a domestic manufacturing ecosystem capable of serving one of the world’s fastest-growing solar markets.
