Bumper Diwali For India Inc!

INDIA INC. SCALED NEW HIGH in profitability with a record ₹2.53 lakh crore in the September 2023 quarter. What makes this quarter stand out is that this is the aggregate profit after tax (PAT) of just 1,471 companies as per the CMIE database, and it has surpassed the ₹2.13 lakh crore net profit earned by the full set of 4,819 listed companies in the September 2022 quarter. Essentially, just a quarter of all the listed companies have generated profits higher than what all listed companies made a year ago!
