Falguni Shane Peacock's grand voyage across couture

Fashion has long borrowed from the romance of travel, but for Falguni Shane Peacock, every journey becomes something far more enduring -- a work of couture. Opening FDCI's Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, the designer duo unveiled Le Grand Voyage, a collection that transformed memories of iconic destinations into meticulously crafted creations. Presented in collaboration with Kohler, and with The Gift Studio and P.C. Totuka & Sons as the gifting and jewellery partners, the showcase celebrated a shared appreciation for artistry, craftsmanship and timeless luxury.
For a label that has spent over two decades taking Indian couture to international runways while dressing some of the world's biggest celebrities, travel has never been merely an escape. It is a design philosophy. Every palace explored, every cathedral admired and every museum wandered through leaves behind fragments of inspiration that eventually find expression in embroidery, silhouette and embellishment.
That philosophy comes alive in Le Grand Voyage, an ode to the beauty of discovery. The collection charts a remarkable route across continents, where the golden Byzantine mosaics of Rome converse with the effortless elegance of Belle Époque Paris. The soaring Gothic cathedrals of Strasbourg meet the regal splendour of Bavaria's palaces, before the journey culminates at the enduring magnificence of the Taj Mahal. Rather than recreating these landmarks, the designers distil their essence into garments that speak the universal language of couture.
The result is a wardrobe imagined for the modern global connoisseur -- someone who collects experiences as passionately as art. Richly hand-beaded tapestry jackets, intricately embroidered lehengas and sherwanis, sculpted corsetry, sweeping capes and dramatic eveningwear become wearable postcards, each carrying echoes of architecture, heritage and craftsmanship from across the world.
The evening also marked a compelling dialogue between fashion and design through Kohler's creative collaboration with the couture house. Known for elevating everyday living spaces through exceptional craftsmanship and an iconic palette of colours and finishes, Kohler found its design language translated onto the runway with remarkable sophistication.
Its celebrated metallic finishes -- including brushed rose gold, brushed bronze, brushed moderne brass and French gold -- were interpreted through shimmering embroidery, sculptural tailoring and textured surfaces, while nuanced shades such as teakberry, cashmere and honed blush infused the collection with understated elegance. The partnership extended beyond the garments through an immersive installation featuring Kohler's signature faucets, blurring the boundaries between couture, interiors and lifestyle, and reinforcing the idea that luxury is ultimately about personal expression.
"Le Grand Voyage is our love letter to the art of travel and the extraordinary beauty that emerges when cultures meet. Every destination offered its own language of architecture, craftsmanship and artistry, inspiring us to create a collection where Indian couture finds a dialogue with Europe's timeless grandeur. Collaborating with Kohler on this collection allowed us to explore their iconic colours and finishes through the language of couture, translating materiality, innovation and craftsmanship into every silhouette. We are honoured to open FDCI's Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 and grateful to Mr. Sunil Sethi and FDCI for continuing to champion Indian couture on one of its most prestigious platforms," said Falguni Shane Peacock.
The showcase also signalled the beginning of a new chapter for the brand following its partnership with the RPSG Group. "Le Grand Voyage is a celebration of journeys, craftsmanship, creativity and ambition. For us, this showcase marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter: Falguni Shane Peacock's first India Couture Week since our partnership and the start of a much larger journey that we look forward to building together," said Shivika Goenka, Director, Luxury and Education, RPSG Group. "What drew us to the house was its ability to create luxury couture that stands confidently alongside the very best in the world. Le Grand Voyage reflects that vision beautifully, and we believe this is just the first of many milestones ahead."
With Le Grand Voyage, Falguni Shane Peacock demonstrated that the most memorable voyages need not always be measured in miles. Sometimes, they are stitched into fabric, illuminated by intricate craftsmanship and carried forward as wearable works of art -- where every silhouette becomes a passport to another place, another culture and another story.
