Shares of ESDS Software Solution continued their rally for the fifth consecutive session on Thursday, defying weakness in the broader market. The Nashik-based company, which provides AI-enabled cloud, managed services, data centre infrastructure and software solutions, has delivered a massive return of over 260% to shareholders following its blockbuster stock market debut on September 4.

On Thursday, ESDS shares touched its upper circuit for the fifth straight session, rising 10% to ₹1,560.35 in the first hour of trade. At the time of reporting, the mid-cap stock was trading 4.51% higher at ₹1,482.50, with a market capitalisation of around ₹17,600 crore. Trading volume was also strong, with around 9.5 lakh shares changing hands over the counter.

ESDS Software Solution shares zoomed 108.75% on their market debut on September 4, closing at ₹895.55 against the IPO price of ₹429, after listing at a 76.46% premium. The stock extended its rally with a 20% gain each on September 7 and 8, followed by a 10% rise on September 9.

ESDS Software Solution’s strong rally followed an overwhelming response to its ₹720-crore IPO, which was subscribed 135.88 times. According to stock exchange data, the issue received bids for around 1.68 billion equity shares against 12.35 million shares on offer, led by strong demand from institutional investors.

The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) portion was subscribed 261.51 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) portion was subscribed 192.94 times. The retail portion saw comparatively lower, but still robust, demand, with the issue subscribed 39.64 times.

Ahead of the IPO, ESDS Software Solution raised ₹215.99 crore from anchor investors.

Emerges as top-performing IPO of 2026

Driven by its sustained rally, ESDS Software Solution has emerged as the best-performing IPO of 2026 so far. The stock has significantly outpaced the other strong performers from this year’s IPO cohort, with the second-best return coming from Omnitech Engineering at 138.9%, followed by Xtranet Technologies at 125.5%.

Sedemac Mechatronics ranks fourth with a 116.4% gain, while Indo-MIM and MV Electrosystems have delivered returns of 110.7% and 105.5%, respectively. Technocraft Ventures, Shadowfax Technologies and Advit Jewels have also more than doubled investors’ money, gaining 103.8%, 102.9% and 102.1%, respectively. Tempsens Instruments was at the tenth spot, with the stock gaining 96.3% from its IPO price.

There has been a surge in IPO activity in the second half of 2026, with as many as 62 companies raising ₹73,669 crore by the end of August, according to Prime Database. July and August accounted for the bulk of the fundraising, with companies raising ₹28,648.49 crore and ₹22,448.27 crore, respectively, during the two months.
