LG Electronics India shares surged nearly 10% on Friday as investors cheered its June quarter earnings, with analysts turning bullish on the consumer electronics and appliances maker. The stock emerged among the top midcap gainers, ending 9.72% higher at ₹1,731.90 on the BSE, taking its market capitalisation to ₹1.17 lakh crore.
Reacting to the Q1 numbers, LG Electronics India shares hit the 10% upper circuit to touch a new record high of ₹1,736.40 in intraday trade on the BSE. The consumer durables stock has gained 33.5% from its 52-week low of ₹1,300.40, touched on January 21, 2026.
In calendar year 2026, the midcap stock has risen 17%, while it has gained nearly 14% over the past month. LG Electronics India, which made its stock market debut on October 14, 2025, has climbed 51% from its IPO price of ₹1,140 per share.
Strong Q1 fuelled rally
The stock gained momentum after the company reported a strong Q1 FY27 performance, driven by volume- and value-led growth.
LG Electronics India posted revenue from operations of ₹7,233 crore in Q1 FY27, up 15.5% from ₹6,263 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA rose 26.2% to ₹904 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded 106 basis points to 12.5%.
Profit after tax increased 27.2% to ₹653 crore from ₹513 crore a year earlier, with profit growth outpacing revenue growth.
The company attributed the performance to premiumisation, higher volumes, operating leverage and continued cost discipline.
Growth was broad-based, with all categories recording double-digit growth during the quarter. The Home Entertainment segment was the strongest performer, with revenue rising 22.3% to ₹1,657 crore, driven by demand for large-screen and premium televisions. Its EBIT margin expanded 336 basis points to 19%.
The Home Appliances & Air Solution segment posted 13.6% revenue growth at ₹5,577 crore, while EBIT rose 13.8% to ₹642 crore. The company said strong summer demand for air conditioners and refrigerators, along with premium upgrades, supported the segment.
Exports, B2B add to momentum
LG Electronics India also continued to focus on its Make-in-India, Make-for-India and Make-India-Global strategy. The company said exports to key global markets continued to grow, while its Essential Series helped deepen its presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
Its Information Display business recorded its highest-ever quarterly performance, supported by government and institutional orders. High-margin non-hardware annual maintenance contract revenues also continued to scale.
Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India, said, “India's consumer durables market is undergoing a structural shift towards premium, technology-led & energy-efficient products and this quarter demonstrates that our portfolio is built for precisely that shift.”
He added that the company would continue to focus on premiumisation, B2B and exports while strengthening India's role as a manufacturing and export hub for LG.
The company also said new capacity coming on stream at Sri City is expected to support its export momentum.
