LG Electronics India, which made its stock market debut on October 14, 2025, is currently trading at a premium of nearly 59% over its IPO issue price of ₹1,140.

The Indian subsidiary of South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. reported a 19.5% YoY growth in revenue from operations to ₹7,380 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹6,174 crore in the year-ago quarter. Net profit grew 25.7% to ₹489 crore from ₹389 crore in Q2 FY26.

On the operating front, EBITDA increased 28% to ₹701 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded 63 basis points to 9.5%.

The company attributed the improvement in profitability to operating leverage and balanced growth across product categories, despite elevated commodity prices, rupee depreciation and investments in marketing and distribution ahead of the festive season.

Home appliances, entertainment businesses drive growth

Both major business segments contributed to the September-quarter performance. The Home Appliances and Air Solution segment reported its highest quarterly growth since listing, with revenue rising 20.9% YoY to ₹4,772 crore.

Washing machines, refrigerators and room air conditioners led growth across key categories, while dishwashers also recorded strong growth. Segment EBIT increased 28.4% to ₹416 crore, with the margin improving to 8.7% from 8.2% a year earlier.

The Home Entertainment segment reported revenue growth of 17.2% to ₹2,608 crore, marking its third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth despite a high base. Television sales benefited from consumer upgrades to larger screens, while the company's offline television market share reached a record high.

Segment EBIT rose 19.9% to ₹337 crore, with the margin expanding to 12.9% from 12.6% in the year-ago period.

Expands into automotive solutions

Alongside its consumer electronics business, LG Electronics India announced its entry into the business-to-business automotive segment through its Vehicle Solutions business, which includes in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and telematics solutions.

The products will be manufactured and supplied from the company's third plant at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh, bringing LG Korea's global automotive B2B business to India.

The company has also expanded its export footprint, adding more than 20 countries since its IPO and widening its product export portfolio.

"We are proud to announce our second consecutive strong quarter results, culminating in a robust H1FY27. This performance reflects the broader strength of India's consumer durables industry, which continues to benefit from rising disposable incomes, growing aspiration for premium products and deepening penetration across metro and emerging markets," said Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India.

Reaffirms FY27 growth targets

For the first half of FY27, revenue increased 17.5% YoY to ₹14,613 crore, while EBITDA rose 27.9% to ₹1,616 crore. Net profit grew 26.5% to ₹1,142 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded 90 basis points to 11.1%.

The company reaffirmed its FY27 targets of mid-teen revenue growth and an early double-digit EBITDA margin, supported by festive and wedding-season demand, premium product launches and export expansion.
