Budget 2022: Right policy needed in power, highways, rail; invest more on infra, says Subhash Garg

Former finance secretary Subhash Garg is of the view that the right policy intervention will work, like in the case of telecom. Garg points out that sectors like power need the right policy intervention as the discoms are in a completely debilitated state. Garg also points out that there is an enormous opportunity coming up in the environmental infrastructure agenda. He cautions that policy action is immediately needed on the infrastructure front as despite a lot of deliberations the national infrastructure pipeline has not yet been replicated on the ground.
