About

At 39, Devansh Jain is helping steer the INOXGFL Group through its most transformative phase, as the chemicals and renewable energy major expands into battery materials, green power, wind energy and solar manufacturing. Alongside chairman Vivek Jain, Devansh is driving the group’s ambition to build a globally competitive and integrated clean energy platform. The group’s flagship company, Gujarat Fluorochemicals (GFL), is among the world’s largest manufacturers of fluoropolymers and fluorochemicals. It is investing more than `7,500 crore to establish what it says will be the world’s largest battery chemicals complex outside China. The facility will manufacture battery salts, additives, electrolytes, cathode active materials (CAM) and cathode binders, positioning India as an important player in the global battery supply chain. Another key pillar of the group’s growth strategy is Inox Wind. The wind turbine manufacturer reported a consolidated income of `4,569 crore in FY26, up 23% YoY, while its order book exceeded 3.1 GW. The group’s clean energy ambitions have attracted marquee investors. Adar Poonawalla’s family office, Rising Sun Holdings, recently invested `700 crore in Inox Clean Energy, valuing the renewable energy platform at `70,000 crore. Inox Clean Energy has been on an aggressive acquisition spree to build scale. It recently acquired BlackRock-owned GIP’s Indian asset—Vena Energy, strengthening its own operating portfolio to 4 GW, while adding a development pipeline of another 12 GW. The Vena deal marked the firm’s tenth strategic acquisition in 10 months. Over the past year, the INOXGFL Group has committed investments exceeding `50,000 crore across renewable power generation and solar manufacturing platforms in India, the U.S. and Africa. “The last two years have been truly transformational. Across our businesses, we have focussed on disciplined execution, strategic investments and building leadership positions in sectors that will define the future. Whether it is renewable energy, battery materials, fluoropolymers or specialty chemicals, our objective has been to create businesses that are globally competitive, technologically advanced and built for long-term value creation,” says Devansh. “These businesses reinforce the INOXGFL Group’s position as one of India’s leading integrated clean energy conglomerates, and we remain committed to investing behind opportunities that will drive sustainable growth for decades to come.”
