Building a successful business isn’t about working around the clock—at least, not according to Ghazal Alagh. Give 85%, not 100%, she says. This mindset has shaped her leadership at Honasa Consumer, the parent company of skincare and beauty brand Mamaearth, which reported ₹518 crore in revenue for Q3FY25, a 6% rise over Q3FY24. With a long-term goal of crossing ₹4,000 crore in revenue by 2030, it is aggressively expanding its portfolio, housing brands such as The Derma Co, and BBlunt. For Alagh, effective leadership is about accepting the uncertainties of life. “The key is to stay focussed on what we can control, focus on building great products, listening to our consumers, and staying true to our purpose,” she says.
