Paridhi Adani’s career has been defined less by courtroom drama and more by institution building. As partner and head of the Ahmedabad circle at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), she has combined high-profile dealmaking with the challenge of establishing the firm’s footprint in one of India’s most entrepreneurial regions. Paridhi advises clients on strategy, private equity, M&As, restructuring and foreign investments. But the defining shift in her career has been the expansion of her role beyond individual transactions. “The shift has been from being responsible largely for my own work, to holding wider responsibility within the firm, both for the growth of the region and for things at the national level,” she says. That broader responsibility found its strongest expression in building CAM’s Gujarat practice from the ground up. The experience reinforced her belief that every market demands its own approach. “It taught me that [every] market is not a smaller version of the national market.... Our approach has been client-centric for that reason.” Working alongside promoter-led businesses, MSMEs and family enterprises navigating succession, governance and growth has shaped her outlook. “Sitting with families, particularly with the next-gen, while they work out what to preserve and what to let go, changes the way you think about institutions. Including your own,” she says.
