Ravneet Kaur, Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI), has been given additional charge as Chairperson of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) starting April 1, until a permanent appointment is made. A postgraduate in economics from the University of Birmingham and a former Humphrey Fellow at Cornell, Kaur has held senior roles across key government departments including finance, commerce, and education. She previously served as CMD of ITDC and IIFCL. At CCI, she oversees competition issues across sectors like digital, pharma, and aviation. As NFRA head, she will regulate audit standards for listed firms, ensuring transparency and accountability.
