Director, Luxury and Education, RP-Sanjiv Goenka GroupAbout
At a time when India’s affluent consumers are demanding more personalised experiences rather than premium products alone, Shivika Goenka is helping shape the next phase of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group’s consumer ambitions. As director, luxury and education, she is building businesses that span luxury retail, digital gifting and international education, with a common philosophy: experiences matter more than transactions. Goenka has been instrumental in expanding the group’s presence through ventures such as The Gift Studio and RP Goenka International School. The Gift Studio was conceived to address a gap in India’s premium gifting market by combining curated luxury, thoughtful personalisation, and technology-led convenience. The platform has partnered with leading designers like Masaba Gupta and Anamika Khanna, blending digital discovery with immersive retail experiences. “Today’s consumer is no longer simply purchasing a product or service, they are seeking relevance, meaning, and a sense of connection in every interaction,” Goenka says. Beyond luxury, Goenka is also driving the group’s education ambitions. With RP Goenka International School, she is reimagining learning through internationally benchmarked curricula, inquiry-led education and AI-enabled personalised learning. The school aims to create a globally benchmarked learning environment that moves beyond rote education and equips students with critical thinking, adaptability and real-world skills. She is also the co-chair of the CII Schools Forum. Her long-term strategy extends beyond building individual businesses. Following the group’s investment in designer label Falguni Shane Peacock, Goenka is focussed on creating an integrated luxury ecosystem that connects designer intellectual property, immersive retail experiences and digital platforms, enabling Indian luxury brands to scale globally while retaining their identity. Under her leadership, the group also opened the label’s flagship store at Mumbai’s Jio World Plaza, supporting its expansion through patient capital, retail infrastructure, and operational excellence. She believes, “India’s global aspiration is strongest when it is rooted in its own identity,” adding, the balance lies in integrating global frameworks with local relevance. Goenka believes enduring businesses are built through disciplined execution as much as creative vision. “Scale is meaningful only when it creates structural impact,” she says, underscoring her focus on building institutions that are consumer-centric, globally relevant and designed for long-term value creation.
